On Friday 15th Cathays Community Centre held a successful fun day to celebrate the work of its Teenscheme members. This month’s film club will be showing Back to the Future! The Café will be open from 6 until 7 serving refreshments exclusively to film club members. Once again, the film will be completely free to watch!
On the 26th of July an event took place at the community centre involving 4 acoustic acts in the cafe, free food, and a movie night upstairs which included two documentaries; We jam Econo and The Story of the Minutemen. The (unusually) hot weather has meant that groups have been able to go to the park or for outdoor trips, but the members have also found time to let out their artistic sides this week! Good news! Our broadband has recently been upgraded, so now we offer even better FREE WiFi in the Embassy Cafe! So whether you need to use the internet for studying or just catching up with social websites, come on down and sit in our delightful community cafe. Good news! Cathays Community Centre will be getting an upgrade to its internet services on Monday 30th June 2014. This will mean, among other improvements, the Embassy Cafe will have improved FREE WiFi internet access, providing an even better service to its customers.
