Today we meet Kyle, who is taking part in our Active Inclusion Project and is learning all about Social Media. We wanted to get to know him better so we asked him some questions…

So, who are you?

My name is Kyle. I am currently 21 years old residing in the Tremorfa area.

What are your hobbies and interests?

As someone who has dealt with a lot of technology in my life, I like to think of myself as a tech nerd who specialises in solving technical problems on a daily basis. Additionally, I enjoy tapping away on a virtual piano trying my hardest to compose something ‘pleasing’ to the ear. My other interests lie within the realms of gaming, photography, watching films and generally just helping others.

If you’re curious, an example of one of my favourite games is Portal 2.

What do you think is your proudest moment?

My proudest moment? Well. That’s a tricky one because I seem to have so many! Still, If I could pick one then It would have to be when I recently finished ‘Movement to Work’, a scheme from HMRC designed to allow someone with no prior work experience to get a feel of the ins and outs of how the working world works.

Completing the scheme made me feel a bit more confident in my abilities in regard to preforming Administrative Tasks like handling the paperwork and ensuring everyone was working to a deadline.

Who is the person you admire the most?

When it comes to admiration, I would say I admire my parents. Both strong in their own right, I never quite know what goes on in their heads half the time. Though generally I feel like they’ve been through a lot and have had a lot of stories to tell me over the years that have really shaped me into the man that I am.

Why did you decide to attend the course?

I am attending the course because I want to further increase my skill-set when it comes to preforming work related tasks. In addition to this, I think It’s a great opportunity to build my confidence and further my other key life skills.
