Joint Trip with Dalton Street Day Centre
On Thursday 28th of August, we marked what will hopefully turn into a long partnership with Dalton Street Day Centre through a day trip to Porthcawl.
The 15 people involved first met up at (a very rainy) Dalton Street Centre, before heading off down the M4 towards Porthcawl. Alan was right in being optimistic about the weather, as the sun was shining and the sky was blue throughout our time in Porthcawl. Everyone decided on what they wanted to do, with groups separating to visit the museum, check out the shops in town, or walk along the promenade to Rest Bay.
After meeting back up at the bus we returned to Cathays Community Centre, where everyone was served tea and cakes courtesy of the Embassy Café. Dylan then presented his Social History Project to the group, before everyone started returning home.
We at Cathays Community Centre would like to thank all the staff at Dalton Street Centre, as well as the Volunteers who set up the café and served the group upon their return, and Dylan for his presentation. We look forward to the next trip!
